It Started With a Question.

About Black Theorem

WHY We Exist

Because the answers that got an organization here aren't always the ones that will take it forward.

Black Theorem exists to help leaders and organizations question assumptions, see what they may be missing, and navigate change with greater clarity and intention. We believe better leadership starts with the willingness to get curious before getting certain.

WHO We Serve

We work with leaders and organizations willing to examine what's actually happening, not just what the strategy says should be happening.

Our partners span Fortune 500 companies, universities, executive teams, startups, and creative organizations navigating growth, change, culture, and what comes next.

HOW We Help

We turn questions into practical work.

Through leadership development, facilitation, strategic consulting, and keynote experiences, Black Theorem brings together research, storytelling, human behavior, and lived experience to help teams think more clearly, communicate more honestly, and act with intention.

WHAT Sets Us Apart

We don't enter a room assuming we already know the answer.

Every engagement begins with curiosity about the people, culture, context, and challenge in front of us. No copy-and-paste frameworks. No performance of transformation. The work is designed around what's actually happening and built to remain useful after the room clears.

Start With a Better Question

Tell us what you're navigating. We'll start there.

Dr. Justin D. Key

Founder & CEO

Justin D. Key founded Black Theorem Co. in 2020 after years of working across industries that rarely speak the same language. Entertainment taught him how people connect. Mathematics taught him how to recognize patterns. Business taught him how organizations move. Education taught him how people learn. Curiosity taught him to connect all four.

That cross-disciplinary perspective became the foundation of Black Theorem.

Based in Los Angeles, Justin is an actor, bestselling author, keynote speaker, educator, and strategist whose career spans entertainment, entrepreneurship, higher education, and organizational consulting. Through Black Theorem, he has worked with Fortune 500 companies, universities, executive teams, startups, and creative organizations on leadership, culture, strategy, and change.

His work has been recognized by Forbes, Black Enterprise, and the UNCF National Alumni Council Hall of Honor, and his insights on curiosity and leadership have been featured in Fast Company. He is the author of Mind Control and The Pursuit of Curiosity, and the creator of the comedy audiobook Mama Knows Best.

Black Theorem reflects the same belief that has guided Justin across every chapter of his career:

Curiosity isn't a distraction. It's direction.
